  • Dr. Richard Boden, DVM

    Owner and Chief Doctor

    Dr. Boden was born in 1954 in Florida, but was raised in New Jersey. After completing his veterinary studies at Kansas State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1978, he joined a mixed practice (large & small animals) here in Stockton. In 1979 he joined Dr. Lowell Walker at Walker Veterinary Hospital. after working for nine years as an associate, he bought out Dr. Walker. He is a member of The American Veterinary Medical Association, the California Veterinary Medical Association and the Northern San Joaquin Veterinary Medical Association. He is an associate of the Associated Veterinary Emergency Services located on Hammer Lane in Stockton, California. Dr. Boden and his wife, Anita, have two sons, one a marketing associate in San Francisco, the other a Junior at Chico State University and a daughter a Senior at Lincoln High School. His father is a retired captain for TWA and his mother was a retired school nurse.

  • Anita

    Business Operations and Office Manager

    Anita was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas. After graduating from high school she entered Kansas State University, majoring in landscape horticulture. She met her future husband at K-State during her first semester in school. They married in 1977. After her husband's studies were finished they moved to Stockton, California where they have lived ever since. Anita is very interested in our economic system, and with a friend, runs an investment club and also belongs to a Gourmet Dinner Club.

  • Marcy

    Receptionist

    Marcy was born and raised in San Jose, CA. She worked for over 22 years at Blossom Hill Veterinary Hospital, a busy 4 doctor practice. She has been working for Walker Veterinary Hospital since 1994 at the front receptionist desk.
    She and her family moved to Manteca, CA in 1993. Both she and her husband, Lou, longed for a smaller community in which to live. Manteca reminds them of the San Jose they knew while growing up.
    They have two sons. Dan lives in San Jose and works for UPS. Their son Jeff, his wife Rebecca ad their two children currently reside in Arizona. Jeff has proudly served his country in the Army for the last 14 years.

  • Veronica

    Receptionist

    As the daughter of Dr. Richard and Anita Boden, it was only natural for Veronica to follow in their footsteps and work at Walker Veterinary Hospital. Doing various tasks around the hospital, she is a valuable asset to the staff and her services are greatly appreciated. She will be heading off to college in the fall and we wish her the best of luck.



  • Rebecca

    Receptionist

    Rebecca was born and raised in Stockton, CA into a large closed knit family. She loves being around children. Before joining the Walker Veterinary family, she was a teacher's assistant in a local day care center for several years. Rebecca is one of our receptionists and works at the front desk everyday. Her welcome smile is the first thing our clients see!

  • Kristen

    Veterinary Technician

    Kristen was born and raised in Stockton, CA. She went to Delta College and Consumnes River College where she studied Veterinary Technician courses. She has been with Walker Veterinary Hospital for about 10 years now and enjoys work and the people who work here.
    She spends her free time golfing with her husband. Loves to sing and spend time with her family and friends.

  • Kim

    Veterinary Technician

    Kim was born in Arizona. Raised in both Stockton and Arizona. She went to college in Chicago and worked there for 6 years before returning to Stockton. She worked for a government agency for 23 years before going back to school. She finished a 2 year program in Veterinary technolgy at Consumes River College. Currently owned by a dog and cats whoallow me to live in their house.

  • Laurel

    Veterinary Technician

    Laurel was born and raised in Stockton, CA. She attended St. Mary High School. After graduation, she attended school in San Luis Obispo (CalPoly) where she pursued a nursing degree. She also took a minor in Equine Therapy. After college Laurel returned to the valley, but with an interest solely in the veterinary field. At this point she is actively pursuing her Registered Veterinary Technician license.
    Laurel was raised in a family that embraced the animal loving, rescue and rehabilitation lifestyle. From the first days of her life she was brought up riding and showing horses. To this day she still works with N.A.R.H.A. and hopes to, at some point, become a N.A.R.H.A. Licensed Instructor.
    In her spare time, she enjoys most outdoor activities and is still heavily involved with CalPoly's 4 Wheel Drive Club.

  • Cortney

    Veterinary Technician

    Cortney is a native Stocktonian, being born and raised here into an extensive family. She attended East Union High School in Manteca, where she graduated in 2005. Shortly thereafter, she started attending Western Career College studying the field of veterinary medicine. She graduated from this course of study in June of 2007 with an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology. In January 2008, she took and passed her state board exam and obtained her Registered Veterinary Technician license.
    Since starting at Walker Veterinary Hospital in May of 2007, Cortney has gained experience and love for the veterinary field and will continue to strive for her goals and dreams as each day comes.
    Cortney also enjoys reading, drawing, painting and any activities that are outdoors.

  • Wendy

    Veterinary Technician

    Wendy was born and raised until the age of 17 years in Simi Valley. At that age she moved with her family to Acampo, CA in 1987. After graduating from high school she attending San Joaquin Delta College studying business management. In 2002 she decided to start a course of studies in veterinary technology at Western Career College, finishing in 2003. Since graduating she has been working at Walker Veterinary Hospital.
    Wendy spends most of her non working hours with her son Zach, boyfriend Mike, all her animals or gardening.

  • Stephanie

    Groomer

    Stephanie was born in Iowa and at 9 years of age moved to California on December 24,1976. She is the mother of three wonderful children. Stephanie has been the groomer for the last 6 years here at Walker veterinary Hospital, but all total she has been a groomer for 17 years.
    When not at work she spends her free time with her family watching NASCAR, bowling or just having a good laugh. She also raises Labrador retrievers and would like to show them in the future.

  • Michelle

    Kennel Technician

    Michelle was born and raised in Stockton, CA. She started working as a kennel technician at Walker Veterinary Hospital in 2005 while she was still in high school. She graduated in 2007 from high school and is now attending San Joaquin Delta College. She plans on sticking around Walker Veterinary Hospital because she loves the people and the "hands on" working with the animals. Her ultimate goal is to get her masters in Family Psychology.
    She spend most of her free time involved with her church and friends, but she also likes to relax at home with her dog and kitty. Her nickname at Walker veterinary Hospital is "Peaches".

  • Katelyn

    Kennel Technician

    Katelyn was born in Stockton, CA but has been raised in Lodi, CA. She joined Walker Veterinary Hospital as a kennel technician in January 2007 when she was 16 years old. Currently she is attending Tokay High School in Lodi and will graduating with the class of 2008. After high school she plans on attending San Joaquin delta College, then transferring to Fresno State to pursue a degree in nursing.
    She loves working at the hospital because not only are the people, both the staff and clients, are wonderful, but so are the animals. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends. Plus she is a self proclaimed fish, she loves the water. She has played water polo for her high school for all four years she spent there and she was swam for 2 years. She has also played softball for the last 11 years or so.

  • Bobby

    Kennel Technician

    Bobby was born in Stockton, CA. Went to Tokay High School in Lodi, CA. He loves working with kids and hopes to have four of his own someday. Bobby feels that he has one of the best jobs in the world. He loves every animal that comes in, even the ones that don't want to be here.
    Bobby has a lot of family pets including a 7 foot 8 inch Colombia Red Tail Boa. He has also spent a lot of time doing cabinetry work.
